Brown Helicopter
Brown Helicopter is integral to XBRAND's MovieHawk program, the UH-60A Black Hawk camera ship at the heart of our heavy-lift aerial work. Tom Brown founded the company in 1972, selling surplus helicopter parts out of his parents' garage. Today it has more than 30 employees and over a million line items of parts, and more than 60 Black Hawk aircraft in its inventory.
Brown Helicopter has been a Black Hawk pioneer: it acquired its first S-70 Black Hawks from Hong Kong in 2003, leased the first S-70 Black Hawks for commercial operation in 2004, and in 2015 received the first FAA restricted type certificate for the UH-60 Black Hawk. Its aircraft have also flown firefighting missions through a partnership with Firehawk Helicopters that began in 2004. The company is based in Pensacola, Florida, where it owns Roscoe Field.
