Aaron Fitzgerald

Aerial Coordinator / Stunt Pilot

Aaron's love of flying started as a boy in Wenatchee, Washington, when he saw a helicopter and knew what he wanted to do. Before his flying career, he served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. He went on to become a helicopter airline transport pilot, flying news, film and television, utility and power-line work, offshore support and fire suppression.

He is the owner, chief pilot and aerial coordinator of Airborne Images, and has worked on more than 100 film and television projects across North America, from high-altitude mountain terrain to offshore and desert operations. Trained in helicopter aerobatics by Rainer Wilke and Blacky Schwarz, he flew the Red Bull BO-105.

In April 2000, the California State Firefighters' Association awarded Aaron its Medal of Valor for rescuing the crew of a downed news helicopter as it burned on the ground.

Integral to XBRAND

Aaron is one of the partners behind XBRAND, through Airborne Images, and one of the team's key aerial coordinators and stunt pilots. He helps plan and fly the sequences XBRAND is known for, bringing the same precision he showed in front of air show crowds to every production.

His mix of aerobatic display flying, motion picture coordination, utility work in mountainous terrain and offshore support gives XBRAND a depth of experience that keeps complex aerial operations safe, efficient and on schedule.
